چکیده
The results of Klee and Richards (1) are in disagreement with the conclusions of Anfmsen et al. (2-4) that concentrated urea has no effect on the activity of bovine pancreatic ribonuclease. The possibility exists that differences in enzymatic activity might be also caused by alteration of the substrate rather than of the enzyme upon treatment with these agents. In examining the effect of conditions which would be expected to influence the secondary structure of ribonucleic acid (5), we have found that concentrated urea both stimulates and inhibits the action of ribonuclease upon ribonucleic acid (depending upon the assay procedure). Some of our findings are summarized in this paper.

Different isolation methods of dental pulp stem cells
Considering the ease of isolation and high expansion potential of pulp stem/progenitor cells isolated from wisdom and primary teeth they have been implicated as the most reliable autologous cell source in dental tissue engineering. Meanwhile, different isolation methods have remarkable impacts on the expansion potential of adult stem cells. In enzymatic digestion method extracted teeth as denta...
متن کاملThe Effect of Nucleic Acids and of Carbohydrates on the Formation of Streptolysin
1. Ribonucleic acid of yeast causes the formation of a potent hemolysin in broth cultures of Streptococcus pyogenes. 2. The hemolysin whose formation is induced by yeast ribonucleic acid appears to be identical with streptolysin S. 3. Desoxyribonucleic acid, products of acid or alkaline hydrolysis of ribonucleic acid, or many other substances tested, fail to produce a similar effect. 4. Digesti...
متن کاملFactors affecting the release of nuclear ribonucleic acid from the nucleus in vitro.
According to a widely accepted view, the structure of chromosomal deoxyribonucleic acid in the nucleus determines the enzymatic composition of the cytoplasm. An attractive proposition which would explain this genetic control of cytoplasmic enzymes is that deoxyribonucleic acid in some way determines the structure of nuclear ribonucleic acid, that the nuclear ribonucleic acid passes out into the...
متن کاملEffect of Dietary Protein Sources on Lamb’s Performance: A Review
Protein and energy are the two major components of feed that influence performance of the growing and fattening lambs. Provision of the quality of protein in the lamb’s diet does not only improve the animal performance but also ensures profitable animal production. Different vegetable protein sources are used to formulate the rations for growing and fattening lambs. These protein sources differ...
